An initiative led by Marcos Witt
Marcos Witt, winner of 7 Latin Grammy Awards (out of 11 nominations) and a leading figure of Spanish-language Christian music, lent his voice and leadership to this cause. Alongside worship leaders such as Harold Guerra, Elena Witt-Guerra and Josué Del Cid, and Champion Forest Church, they united the Venezuelan people in an unforgettable night.
Houston, Texas hosted the “Juntos por Venezuela” concert, where worship leaders such as Marcos Witt, Harold Guerra and Elena Witt-Guerra, and Josué Del Cid joined their voices with Champion Forest Church in solidarity with the Venezuelan people. More than 3,000 people gathered from 5:30 p.m. to praise God and together cry out for Venezuela.
Marcos Witt
Marcos Witt, joined by his musicians, performed songs such as “Gracias”, “Dios de pactos”, “Enciende una luz”, “Alabemos” and “Sana nuestra tierra”, which was spontaneously sung as “Sana a Venezuela”, giving an emotional touch to the occasion. A significant moment came when all the singers and the pastoral team of Champion Forest Church came on stage to pray for Venezuela, led by Pastor Christian Sebastia, who is Venezuelan.
The “Juntos por Venezuela” concert was streamed live on Facebook Live to more than 200,000 people. At the end of the night, a call was made to keep praying for the situation in Venezuela and to support families living in precarious conditions. That night we gathered 30 tons of food that were sent to Venezuela.
